I love fall. I can go from looking like a housewife on acid to acceptable professional with a sweater and a glob of hair gel. Yes, I always wear pants, because I am often the universe's favorite chew toy and the day I don't will be the day I spill coffee or something and have to stand up on camera.

The chicory did well this year. Leggier and taller than I anticipated. When I've seen it in Europe it's much closer to the ground.

I'd had better hope for my caryopteris, that they'd linger another month. I should probably be deadheading them. The bee doesn't seem to mind.

My dianthus seeds did very well this year. I'll keep planting more and hope for a carpet of them in the summer.

I never new this lilac was a rebloomer, but she's has a good year. Not much came in for fall, but every little bit of bee food helps.

This rose was supposed to be white. I planted it when thinking of the suffragettes, but it died and the grafted root stock came in red. Still, it's hearty and I let it bee (see what I did there?)
