I love fall. I can go from looking like a housewife on acid to acceptable professional with a sweater and a glob of hair gel. Yes, I always wear pants, because I am often the universe's favorite chew toy and the day I don't will be the day I spill coffee or something and have to stand up on camera.

The last of my flowers for the year. The yard's done well. Fall is my favorite time of year, but it comes with a bit of inherent sadness, a bit of fading. Still, life remains. Here are the last of this year's flowers and one lingering bee preparing for winter as the light dims toward midwinter.

The first step in being able to offer good feedback or critique of a book is understanding the difference between “This stylistic choice and/or narrative voice isn’t to my individual taste” and “this is bad writing.” Sometimes a book just isn’t written for you as the audience. 🤷
