I saw The Great Yokai War at a NY Asian Film Festival back in the mid 2000s. Uneven but the creatures were great and it had an ending I still remember to this day.

Yes, the proximity could be a problem. Haunted attraction actors often use it as the staying power is second to none and they are performing for hours at a time, so it makes sense there. Casual use for a couple hours is overkill. I will have to look around for other options!

I have used Mehron cremes (water based) as their coverage is not bad and the cleanup is east enough. You would think grease paint would get the job done though! Alcohol based makeups might do the trick but the residue lasts awhile. Perhaps a football eye black?

There weren’t even Halloween decorations on display, they jumped over it entirely!

For the artifice and visual delights I think it is worth it. The story is paper thin. Only a couple of scenes resonate on any emotional level. It almost needed to be pushed to higher flights of fancy!

That satisfied grunt of release!

Heh heh! I was getting Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy vibes personally.

I saw it on VHS because Peter Weller was in it and I was familiar with the director Christian Duguay’s Scanners 2. Super atmospheric and I was filled with dread! The CGI was the only weak point but I forgave that readily given how the physical production was so impressive. Time to revisit the film!
