watching Bog's video on Hyprland, and while he did do some things wrong, he is literally a brand new Linux user. and there's people in the comments calling him a moron and a lost cause - because he didn't know how to configure Hyprland?????? while i do love Linux, the Linux "community" is horrible
youtube comments and reddit are the worst possible options for looking for "help" with linux. honestly the best places I've found help are here on bsky or the arch forums IF you don't cross that ONE mod (we all know who).
Some people forget they were once beginners and forget it so hard, you'd expect them to cuss out a five year old for not being on their level with language and math. Need fewer rabid greybeards grumpy about linux becoming more popular and user-friendly, more open-minded helpful metaphysical-beards.
saw someone complain that he ran Hyprland on KDE Plasma in a window while configuring it - a feature of Wayland in general. being able to run within another compositor. why are we dogpiling on him for using an intended feature of the display server
i mean like half the stuff he did wrong could be solved by Actually Reading The Wiki
