True. But you can't do that everywhere on Earth over the span of a few days, which is where the satellite based sensors come in handy. Still, we should have better local monitoring to track emissions at finer resolution.

It’s Texas. Getting anything ground based for better resolution would be nigh impossible, for…reasons. But I agree with you, it’s a great start.
