I'm not sure I agree with the WASP baseline. It is possible for a wide range of different communities/perspectives to converge around the rejection of a perceived odd/weird/abhorrent ideology. Even today, when they are out from under their rocks, the unacceptability of Nazism unites a multitude.

The WASP baseline often features an assumption of universality, but that doesn't mean it is universal.
