The stories in games are often unlike stories in other mediums because of the interactivity. That and the feeling of "mastering" a games system is always satisfying. It's like getting good a chess but there's hundreds of variations of chess to get good at, & new ones all the time.

I think a good example of a game narrative that could only be told through a game is Doki Doki Literature Club. It's very Anime, which was a turn off for me, but I'm super glad I pushed though, it's one of my favorites. Undertale and Nier Automata are dope too.
