They’re not new books - but the Timmy Failure series is pretty quirky and has comic-type pics of Timmy and the polar bear - my manga-drawing kid loved them when she was around that age

Oh yes, my kid was a huge Timmy Failure fan! We still say "this is just a fancy swimsuit" all the time.
