I still remember that little frisson of joy I felt when AltaVista arrived.

Finished reading Bindi by Kirli Saunders. A beautifully written childrenā€™s book about a year in the life of 11-year-old girl Bindi, told in a series of poetic vignettes. Gently funny, full of warmth and tenderness, woven with moments of profound emotional power. 1/3 šŸ’™šŸ“ššŸ‘šŸ¼ #KidLit#DiverseBooks šŸ“ššŸŒ

A compact, hardcover childrenā€™s book titled Bindi by Kirli Saunders, illustrated by Dub Leffler, Winner of the Daisy Utemorrah Award, Western Australian Premierā€™s Book Awards Winner. The black and white illustration has a meditative, charcoal-style texture, and depicts a tuft of spiky grass next to the feather of a black cockatoo.

Hah! I have a strong memory, from mid 1980s, of a goth falling OUT of a tree in Melbourneā€™s Royal Park. It was around midnight, and weā€™d all been drinking cheap ginger wine and port - circumstances not conducive to goths being able to stay up the trees theyā€™ve climbed. No goths were hurt.

Great article about how traditional job recruitment methods often donā€™t accurately measure how well neurodivergent candidates would actually do the work. Having a neuroinclusive workplace means you hire and retain the most skilled, productive and passionate staff. 1/2 #Neurodiversity#Neurodivergent

Nearly half of the staff at this agency are neurodivergent. The CEO says there are real benefits for her bottom line

Many Australians are neurodivergent, yet some don't disclose this to employers for fear of discrimination. So how practical is it to create a neurodivergent-friendly workplace?

Theyā€™re not new books - but the Timmy Failure series is pretty quirky and has comic-type pics of Timmy and the polar bear - my manga-drawing kid loved them when she was around that age

I remember being very confused by that as a kid ā€˜this plant makes the oil we dose you with - but donā€™t eat any of it because itā€™s poisonousā€™
