My Mum used to live on site where she worked down at FOAL, so she used to get the same treatment and the odd wing waggle from the Red Arrows when they were practicing.

Don't know if it's still there but that was quite close to the airport. We used to put deckchairs in the garden to watch the bits of the display we could see including the red arrows.
