I understand this. I went through chemo for bone marrow failure at 9 yrs old. I've had 2 (going on 3) kidney transplants and currently on dialysis. "Normal" in my life will never be. A "new normal" is a more correct term in my house.

i think the reason i bounce off so many modern video games is that i am simply not interested in doing tedious, repetitive tasks or replaying large stretches of the game because i made a minor error while jumping or something
