For sure, especially for that era in both of their careers. I canât think of another early(ish) Spielberg movie that shows a looser, more realistic adult partnership than the one shared by Steven and Diane.
Jerry Goldsmithâs score is also the best in the same, said universe.
My favorite performance in the Spielberg universe.
Just learned today that THE SUBSTANCE (which I havenât seen) is a few minutes longer than MEGALOPOLIS (which I have, and would gladly see again tomorrow before I sit down for a 141-minute elevated body horror thatâs longer than two and a half Val Lewtons).
