Today's less successful attempt with Shonky V1.01. Positioned on the car roof this time but just a random height above it. On the next attempt I'll try with it 1/4 wave above the roof & see if signal reflection helps. Failing that it's back to ground level and tweak things from there. All good fun.
Me too, post sacks were like rocking horse droppings in the depot I worked at. Turn your back on one for a few seconds and whoosh, it's gone. See also pens.
I'd love to know where that had been for all the years. I worked at RM briefly in the undelivered parcel & mail section. We kept stuff for 18 days before RTS (return to sender) if there was an obvious address or it went to a depot in NI where they had permission to open stuff to trace the sender.
NOAA 18 today with my new home built X dipole antenna after a minor running repair due to wind induced RUB (Rapid Unplanned Bending). My best results yet and I think there are still plenty of improvements to be made. Onwards and upwards, per ardua ad weathersat.
Excellent. I first came across them through a friend who was on a personal Zen Buddhism/eastern philosophy journey at the time. I'm terrible at writing things like that.
Since it's #WorldPhotoDay I give you my study of a crossed dipole antenna made from 3mm⌀ aluminium wire and a plastic picnic plate. Today was its first time out in the wild receiving a NOAA weather sat, some tweaking may be required...
Hail fellow, well met.
I'd seen a few people I follow over "there" mention BSky so thought I'd give it a try. I suspect more will join us in the near future as the game of X plays out & Elon has to resort to a Falcon 9 to help throw his teddies as he seems to launching so many. I like the UI here too, it's cleaner.
I'm not even going to look on here, I'll keep it as a shiny happy place.
