of course one of the perverse causes is that right-wing propaganda outlets are not and do not try to be sustainable off advertising and subscriptions- they're largely propped up by financing from right-wing centimillionaires and billionaires who expect no return other than fascist propaganda.
youtube and twitch are NOT social media. they have social elements (comments, chat, etc.) but they're video platforms first and foremost
casual gamers are a more powerful demographic than you think
either way i'm getting there. i get my kicks from youtube and twitch now lol
if not, then we're at least "post-twitter" (as in moving on to other platforms)
