The desire to cut back on the number of social media platforms I'm on is constantly undermined by the paranoia of feeling the need to park usernames for my brands to prevent crypto scams/imposters/or any other kind of tech bro trend from taking them first.
Glad to see some new followers around here! Re-intro time: I'm Eric, founder of Lucky Red Comics @luckyredcomics.bsky.socialluckyredcomics.com
I wrote and drew Hellcats Strike Force right around when I was 30. The first issue was published by the time I was 33. I'm 34 now and have 3 issues out with the 4th to be out by the end of the year.
I'm not quitting my day job anytime soon, but for a free comic I put out there to even make just a little bit is encouraging. And I've got some more comics in the pipeline so slowly but surely my portfolio/library is increasing.
Felt like sketching some X-Men today. Not exactly my dream roster, but for a "pick 5" I think Storm, Cyclops, Kitty Pryde, Colossus, and Wolverine would be a solid team.
Got to see this bad boy over the weekend. Overall I liked the self awareness, cameos, and chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. It felt nice to see some big name marvel characters in a movie that wasn't afraid to laugh at itself.
Much like Dark Horse Comics, @luckyredcomics.bsky.social also does not accept or utilize AI generated content.
