I am a climate scientist, focused on paleoclimate, sea level change and the evolution of Quaternary glaciations.
I reconstruct ice sheets using glacial isostatic adjustment, as well as ice sheet modelling. In Japan but have been pretty much everywhere.

I have a new paper out, in a study led by Matthias Fuchs! We estimated the methane flux for the past 20,000 years from Beringia coastal wetlands. #ClimateChange#Paleoclimate#SeaLevel#Methanewww.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
Methane flux from Beringian coastal wetlands for the past 20,000 years
Atmospheric methane (CH4) concentrations have gone through rapid changes since the last deglaciation; however, the reasons for abrupt increases around…
This study uses the PaleoMIST topography reconstruction, which was validated with offshore sediment cores that contain terrestrial peats. This area had spatially variable sea level changes during the deglaciation due to its proximity in the intermediate field of the ice sheets. 2/4
