66° North 23° West, at Bolafjall, 630m above sea level 😍⛰️ We went twice, once in a cloud and returned on a clear morning to allow me to believe, physics notwithstanding, that I could see Greenland! 🧐🇬🇱 #AlphabetChallenge#WeekNforNumbers#MobilePhotography#Iceland 🇮🇸

At the end of a paved path a strip on the ground says N66° W23° 630m over sealevel (yfir sjávarmáli). There are dry stone walls either side, and then a gravel path winds away between rough ground, with a globular radar tower visible on the horizon

This development, which contains homes, vacation rentals, shops, and restaurants, has been built on a spit of land that is likely to be submerged in the sea if significant climate action is not taken immediately. What will happen to these homes and businesses is not clear. • #climatechange#sealevel
