Why isn’t AI doing the tedious shit for creative people instead of doing the creative shit for tedious people

It could, but that's not "sexy" to the rich 1%, and it empowers creative workers, which is obviously not what they want — not if they can remove them entirely from the process.

Why isn’t it scrubbing my toilet. It can’t even vacuum and mop the floors yet without me running ahead of it like a curling team. That should always have been its first job.

Because the wrong class is in charge.

I think it is beginning to take over some of the tedious shit - it certainly is in my field (engineering support documentation) but, because that isn't sexy or controversial, you don't tend to read about it so much.

I think eventually it’ll do the former, it’s just that right now it’s in the hands of and being hyped by the tedious people.
