The joys of using laptops. It's convenient 95% of the time but there is always that 5% where it just totally capitulates on you.
I *think* it was some process running in the background on my laptop using up the hard disk. It was peaking at 90% without ableton even running. I just had to let it finish. Stressful though, as I don't know when it will do it again.
Nothing to do with us. Scotch doesn't mean Scottish. I think this is all confusion from "Scotch" whisky...which just means blended whisky.
Yeah there's a few bells and whistles. But for me, I don't need to sound EXACTLY like an SH101. It just needs to sound good, which I think does. Enough so that I don't miss my SH101 any more.
Having owned an OG SH101 and now an SH01A, I really don't think there's much between them in sound. Maybe if you really listen to them dry the SH01a doesn't *quite* have the same filter. But in a track, in a mix...it sounds just as good IMO.
I still quite like the look if them. Just not sure what it covers my let SH01 doesn't already.

Even for him, he was pretty wayward at times. Someone needs to do a study on why almost half of that country think he's a good person to have in charge. Maybe it's the additives?
