It is extraordinarily, spectacularly funny that Jack Dorsey literally called us “common,” as if he’s the Third Lord Viscount Fartleby sneering at the help while cheating at a game of croquet

"People started seeing Bluesky as something to run to, away from Twitter," Dorsey said. "It's the thing that's not Twitter, and therefore it's great.
And Bluesky saw this exodus of people from Twitter show up, and it was a very, very common crowd. ... But little by little, they started asking Jay and the team for moderation tools, and to kick people off. And unfortunately they followed through with it. That was the second moment I thought, uh, nope. This is literally repeating all the mistakes we made as a company."

Did he perhaps mean 'in common' ie similar or overlapping the twitter audience? Or is he just a bit up himself?

Dorsey apparently wanted all the legacy bluecheck celebrities and journalists to come over here and for the rest of the rabble to just like and retweet them, and that favoritism was why twitter sucked pre-Elon.

I thought the biggest mistake Twitter made as a company was tossing out a moderation and ad team that got them clickthrough rates as high as 100x times industry average (and the ad rates to match!) at the behest of a guy named after the contents of a litter box

Before you know if the plebes be asking for hygiene … like racism and White Supremacy are merely social constructs that can be ameliorated by deplatforming I mean … who are these “users” to define and enforce the boundaries of what is and is not politically, socially and culturally acceptable

"Silence, Faine!" roared Jack, turning to his friend. "Who is this insolent wretch, Lord Musk?" "Looking into it," mumbled Elon, hidden behind towering stacks of POs and service orders from Tesla dealerships.

I hope the door not only hit him, but *propelled* him on the way out.
