Extreme heatwave impacting Bangladesh now. 52C (125F) Such temperatures are extremely taxing & dangerous for those exposed to heat stress for prolonged periods of time. Climate change will make extreme heat in Bangladesh become more common. It adds more challenges to ground realities.

Is that the wet bulb globe temp/heat index or actual? Either way it's disgusting. My heart goes out to the (MANY) people who have to endure it without a/c.

I should clarify it is Heat index. For late-September those figures are on the higher side, esp with summer monsoon humidity which worsens heat index and heat stress. And those are more recurrent and lasting longer

Yikes. Our heat index is approx 37-39C today and it feels brutal. 52C is otherworldly.
