After playing Outer Wilds, I started a deep dive into what @pentadact.bsky.social calls "Information Games". I would love to hear what you have to say about the relationship between information game and detective game which I can't quite figure out myself.

I think "detective" is a theme and Information Games are a format / design principle. They seem to fit great together, but I've never tried making one so who knows.

It’s my favorite game and top of my “wish I could wipe my brain to play it again” list. What other “information games” are on the list you’re looking into?
