Many years ago I made a series of cleared and stained fishes that have been printed on aluminum and showed in natural history museums and aquaria around the world. These are an example of how the art I do inspires the science. 🐡🧪

The skeleton of a butterfly ray.
White Spotted Greenling skeleton.
Little skate skeleton

Any pricklebacks end up as art? I would buy one if it did!

Oh, I remember seeing this exposition at the Phyletic Museum of Jena, Germany. I was so impressed that I now could recognize them many years after seeing them for the first time!

Or, how science inspires art, because clearing and staining required the protocols to be figured out. They're beautiful!

Do you have an example of your process? These are fascinating and beautiful.
