You get some of those fun-haters here on Bluesky too, but the moderation tooling is just so much better here, especially if you're someone with an audience. My main use for fedi recently has been just riffing on Linux atm lol

Amusingly enough the people I found most toxic were FOSS dudes. I had to stop using any hashtags or ever complain about anything windows (which I'm going to keep using) because it invited the weirdest people into my mentions. It's 1 of those "I like the concept of open source and Linux but the ppl"
