i really can't get past the court reform thing. after the overruling of roe v wade, killing biden's student debt relief, kneecapping federal agencies, trump immunity...if you still cannot get behind court reform, simply not a serious political party
It needs to happen, but it would take the Dems winning the trifecta in November AND Congress growing a spine. This will still be a caucus with Chris Coons and Dick Durbin, I have a hard time believing they'll suddenly become activist legislators even with a mandate.
I don't think people have truly internalized that we're at the end of the road with the Democratic Party. There's basically no ground left to cede. Young people especially should not entertain voting for them at this point.
At this point if you don't have a court reform plan, you don't actually have any plans.
I keep trying to imagine that the American Constitution Society is wimpy and inert, but I guess the joke’s on me, damn
it doesn't have to be expansion, but it does have to be something more than ethics reform.
I think (hope) this is just a tactical decision related to the electoral map. hard to see how it wouldn’t make life even harder for Tester and Brown (both of whom I’m pretty sure would pack the court)
