I think (hope) this is just a tactical decision related to the electoral map. hard to see how it wouldn’t make life even harder for Tester and Brown (both of whom I’m pretty sure would pack the court)

i feel like the polling on term limits points the other way tbh tho who knows with issue polling

the evidence that voters care about judiciary hardball is pretty weak but I have to think it’s a lot more likely they do if you campaign on it instead of just doing it
