Oh, fun question to the panelists asking about a memorable story from when they asked a scientist for research help for a story.

She used the example of a guy wheeling a wagon full of cell phones to make google maps think there was lots of traffic on a street so it wouldn’t route people that way during a street festival.

A good quote from Suzanne Palmer: “when we get to the point when we can’t fuck with technology, then we’re in trouble.” There’s still some optimism about the all encompassing power of technology if we can still mess with it.
