I'd recommend Silence. Scorsese makes the hell out of a movie. It's dark, but really good. Also, Hacksaw Ridge, but like if you don't like a WWII movie, there's nothing in it that's gonna change your mind.
I was pretty clear about not wanting to explain myself, but for you? Sure. I like when he does this because they're clearly roles he cares about very deeply and he does a great job with them. I would never marathon them because they are too long and often kind of draining as movies go.
