Nobody exotic at blessing of animals today, just cats and dogs. Dmitri the Russian Turtle didn't feel up to the outing, so a human associate brought a photo of him to be prayed over.
A little dog must have read the schedule wrongly and so arrived for the blessing of animals six hours early, thereby (I think) causing his human to inadvertently attend Mass. He couldn't wait, said the human. (The dog got a blessing from the deacon.)
I went to another church in town to go to confession. It was nice and quiet. Then someone came in and started visiting loudly with the person a few pews in front of me. They opened with, "How is your rash?"
and being a president of a temperance society, he only drinks the tepid tears of orphans
Blessing of animals tomorrow. I always enjoy the dynamics among them. The dog who desperately wants to make friends with everybody. The dog who gets overstimulated and freaks out. The cats giving their humans that look of, if that holy water touches me, you *will* pay when we get home.
Housekeeper: "There's another Mass in church tonight?" Me: "Yes. Feast of St. Francis." Housekeeper: "All right. I'll put more toilet paper." Me: 🤣"How much do they use per Mass?"
Apparently the church "bells" are broken and won't ring. Better than when they were broken and wouldn't stop ringing and everybody in the neighborhood was calling and asking is the pope dead?
Everything is *severe* cold & flu. What am I supposed to do for this regular ass cold?
The older the friar the more resources of kitchen space-time are taken up with his breakfast preparation.
