Yes, I agree with you. I am wondering if she has an easy way out of this~a legal loophole, so to speak. I agree that lying about body dysmorphia to receive surgeries paid with insurance SHOULD be fraud. The hospital/clinic she uses seems to believe that her surgery was necessary with limited sympto

If you lie and tell your doctor that you have constant suicidal thoughts and can’t get out of bed most days, they will probably conclude antidepressants are “necessary” on the basis of your lies, and insurance will pay. The doctor is not at fault for believing the patient’s description.

She definitely doesn't have a legal loophole after writing and publishing an article admitting she was intentionally and maliciously lying about her symptoms and needs to get medical treatment that was paid for by insurance. Kinda shot herself in the foot there.
