I think the grossest part about a lot of the "let the South die to climate change" stuff isn't just that plenty of "innocent" people will die as well but that like. I don't think evil people should die from that either. I don't think humanity & dignity of societal protections should be means-tested.
Covid is proof that, if your target is rich octogenarians with a stranglehold on our economy, Covid's viral profile was 'kills the infirmed' yet averted most of that category of people because their access to care. 3/Remember the United Cajun Navy after Katrina. A bunch of private boat owners that volunteer to do search and rescue after major water disasters. They may be down in Tampa after Milton. Just ordinary folks, pitching it what they have. They saved dozens of lives after Katrina. That's what you do.
2/And check everyone's voting records. You bloody well get in there and HELP. I've seen far too many heartrending scenes after major disasters, including face to face. Fluffing help, people! Nature doesn't care about your politics. Be a human being, go in there, and do something!
1/That's the difference between our side and theirs. They are happy to soak collateral damage - *even their own families!* - just to "own the libs." We actually give a shit about EVERYONE, especially in the middle of a historic disaster. You don't go down a street destroyed by an EF4 tornado...
