Having spent many days in the centre of Poole recently, I'm not surprised about its fall from Tory hands. Yes, the constituency includes Sandbanks but hang out in the Dolphin Centre for any length of time and the under investment, vacant shops & the-struggling-to-survive tell a very different story
The Lib Dems have much to thank Jeremy Corbyn for. His tack to the left swallowed up the Green advances during the coalition years, his two General Elections provided time for the Lib Dems to organise & re-group and gave them sufficient space from tuition fees etc to become a tactical voting option
Could the Tories lose Cameron's old seat, May's, Boris' plus Truss and Sunak on the 4th July?
If a new government wants to win favour outside London in its first few months, might I suggest taking urgent action to address the appalling CrossCountry trains franchise?

All of these tax rises being ruled out when public services are on their knees, is so depressing. It demonstrates that we are incapable of having a grown up conversation about our economy. More borrowing? Possibly. More growth? Possibly. But in the short-term more taxes will be unavoidable.

Why am I here? I guess it's all down to this: I feel connected through social media to others who post about subjects I care about. I think I'm better informed, too. The thing is The Other Place has allowed the shoutiest to dominate. So I'm here, hoping for something better. Who knows.
