Horror movies are just not nice to cats from my experience (dogs are also at risk). Even some of my fav horror stuff of recent years like 'Midnight Mass' were just... rough, cat-wise.
It really was. I quite liked the tone of the first two movies, but the characters and their arcs in Day One spoke to me far more (once I overcame the cat stress levels).
Okay, sticking with just "Small Cat" in my title, and have added "Son of a Pumpkin" in English and Arabic in my bio instead for good measure.
I could just go with 'small cat', as it's currently a little long for phone screens. Hmm.
The most important function for me of social media is to show me things to read that I want to read that I might not otherwise read. Bluesky does that consistently the way Twitter used to.
Book covers nowadays are so freakin' gorgeous! A Tempest of Tea is stunning - the perfect combo of colour & detail on multiple levels of depth (I also hadn't truly appreciated the turquoise & purple brush strokes on the Starling House cover until I studied it for the ALT text, so thanks Bluesky!)
Currently making my way through 'Starling House' by Alix E. Harrow on ebook, and 'A Tempest of Tea' by Hafsah Faizal in audiobook. These are proper autumnal reads, the first about an otherworldly possessed house, and the second about a vampire tea shop.
Maybe AIB then? You gonna be watching the anime or the recent live action?
Would personally opt for 1 or 5, but that's mainly because I'd find it a challenge to concentrate on the subs for 3 or 4 whilst also doing cardio (AIB looks great tho). Deadwood is an engrossing watch and I've only heard good stuff about Kaos (it's still on my to-be-watched currently).
Very good going! A few I'd defo reckon are worth a re-read; curled on the sofa with a warm cuppa, some atmospheric background music and the darkness drawing in outside. 'Tis the season for comfort reads. 🍂🥀
