I really like the idea of choosing a committee by lot who then choose the voters. Cycling through this process more than once doesn’t seem to add much. On a side point - is it always acceptable to misread “doge” as “dog” when learning Venetian history?
My favorite thing in this is that they changed the final number of electors from 40 to 41 to prevent a tie, but then set the minimum threshold to 25 anyway, like, *just to be safe*
