I'm so impressed that the Washington Post can just pretend that the last two stories are simultaneously true.

We have not been able to influence things lately, we have tried not using any of our potential leverage and we are all out of ideas.

In fairness they at least clearly write that the influence part is a lie made up by the white house.

You don't spend billions of dollars on arming a country year after year and then claim your influence is marginal lol

The US is so weak it can't stop Israel from waging war and doing genocide, but is also so strong it can deter Iran with ease. Something tells me Iran won't be so easily deterred this time.
