We’ve had a few frosty mornings lately and this morning there was some fog over the marsh. As the sun started lighting up the far shore, this Great Blue Heron materialized out of the fog and came in for a landing!🪶
That bird really knows how to nail an entrance! I'll bet you were happy when the fog showed up. So many photo possibilities, giving you marvelous shots like this!

I love watching herons on takeoff and landing both. A creature made for the air. A bit weird looking on the ground, miraculously elegant in flight.
