Let’s just say no-one ever says their potential grade A students achieved grade A* because the boundaries were lowered! Lots of statistical work goes into trying to determine whether students were better or papers were easier than last year, but outcomes will generally be comparable

I suppose my question then is, do you feel the papers were easier? Or has standard improved? My feeling, based only on your posts & my prejudice, is that it’s hard to compete for the top grade unless you’re doing FM as well. I.e increased numbers doing FM has pushed up the standard required?
