This is actually a decent analogy because the drivers have all the power and the numbers and sometimes just straight up murder them but still whine about how they’re the victims
My bell is loud and I ring it if I see a right turning signal next to me at a crossing. Drivers aren't often paying attention, and as a cyclist that's all I can do to not get killed. I try not to think of the drivers who feel entitled to run me over.

If you have enough cyclist friends you know that drivers trying to run you off the road is such a common occurrence that most have experience it at least once. And that beyond simply dangerous driving with presumably no ill will

Richard’s tweet is utterly ridiculous. It disparages trans people and creates a straw man where none existed before in his “big cycle” boogeyman.
Also consistent in the sense that cops sit in cars all day & identify with drivers not bikers - and often barely investigate/prosecute drivers who kill cyclists.
and also the ask is minor that would save lives but they won't do it
