Low-key “you’re the weak and I’m the tyranny of evil men, but I’m trying to be the shepherd” is a pretty apt descriptor of what reparative Justice might look like, even though Tarantino probably didn’t get there on purpose

Tarantino said his biggest regret with the film was making the briefcase glow because he himself didn't know what was in there and he didn't want people to see it as a clue. It always was and remains a pretty simple "repentant guy lives, unrepentant guy dies" story.
