Voting is not how you express your moral philosophy. Voting is not how you tell the world what is and isn't acceptable. Voting is just this boring thing responsible adults should do periodically - like getting your teeth cleaned. Then go out and find ways to actually change things for the better.
It never ceases to amaze me how people think that spending under an hour (in most cases) voting once every two years, and imagine that they've gone above and beyond their duty as citizens.
