Been a while, but I'm ready to give this place another, more focused try. Twitter was already bad, but has become exponentially more broken and toxic in just the last few months. Please tell me the same hasn't happened here already.

No, it's pretty good. Not perfect, of course, but the "just block people if they annoy you" ethos and the lack of an algorithm make it work fairly well.

Haven't noticed any increase in toxicity, but activity's still pretty low relative to Xitter. I think it can feel kind of lonesome here for many, especially for anyone posting art or trying to reach an audience.
