i thought misskey was cool but it is a bit archaic with a lot of its design, which i guess is on purpose and it has a bit of charm to it but it was rather difficult to use regularly also them banning foreigners kind of killed any momentum for non JP users lol

it for sure had some clunk to it. being able to switch between classic twitter TL style and the tweetdeck style was pretty cool at least. also it's been so long since i've tried to use that site that I didn't even know they banned foreigners 💀
