The reason this platform doesn't work for me is that if one opts out of X because of the pollution of its owner and seeks news/discourse here, you're still faced with people constantly discussing and reposting said person. Block them all and nothing to see here.

Shocking: Evernote exports appear to stall on special characters, meaning the meat of what I used the app for (automatic captures of links I tweeted) is trapped in their platform, or at least their database file format.

Having read the White House release on the AI executive order, itā€™s striking that the WH identifies so many kinds of potential harms but will only REQUIRE action around ā€œfoundation modelā€ testing. My Q: Does the president lack power to REQUIRE other remedies, or does it not wish to? Why?

On top of the attribution issues with the hospital blast, it looks like the ā€œ500 deadā€ claim never existed? And a lot of the attribution analysis was based on whether observed damage was consistent with that claim. What a mess.
