honestly don't know why i have completely neutral opinion of THE SUBSTANCE. it looked great and the effects were plenty nasty but i just feel nothing. probably something that should be watched with a fun group who reacts properly to extreme gore was thinking of PERFECT BLUE and AKIRA the whole time

idk, maybe there are still ppl out there for whom "society has fucked up standards for women" is a novel concept, but this is so committed to stabbing the tongue fully thru the cheek it doesn't seem to have anything new to say? wouldn't mind hearing someone else's opinion
