While musk is a baffoon and this message is comically stupid. Musk and the techno fascists/accelerationist contingent turning their gaze towards Wikimedia and Wikipedia betrays their actual intent. Ending our ability to know what is real, What is true, and facts.
Was that the actual point of doing it? Like Brexit?
Somehow, despite all the catastrophic economics, flip-flopping, in-fighting, prejudice, tax-fraud, coke-snorting, sexual assaults, bullshitting, incompetence, playing chicken with the laws of physics, and gleeful cancellation of our national future, people still aren't voting Tory.
I like how we are still framing this as "struggling to combat misinformation" or clumsiness, as opposed to what it is: a conscious if sloppy effort by a wealthy right winger to undermine journalism and his ideological enemies the press is so close to getting it
