Today we had Apple Afternoon at Grims Dyke Hotel to show off Lady Gilberts Orchard at Old Redding nature reserve www.harrowncf.org/OROS_home.html. Apple press creating fresh juice at extreme left! Thanks to the hotel for hosting this event.
Wildflower area at Stanmore Little Common yesterday after cutting and raking. It may not look like much now, but in summer it is alive with bees and butterflies. Created as a "stepping stone" between bigger reserves. Judging by the 7 frogs we found, should perhaps rather be called a jumping off pad!
The walking route fron Stanmore Station to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) through lovely (if, today, wet!) Stanmore Country Park is now live! Come out of the station, walk straight ahead up Kerry Avenue to this gate and follow the roundels.
