I never understood why Christians weren’t more protective of the planet that they believe God created for them. Seems disrespectful.

This is a great reminder for me that so many faith leaders have an incredible (political) depth to them, by means of their role, and historically can be absolute political forces. I forget about this link when I’m (rightly or wrongly) grinding my teeth about “general GOP evangelicals.”

I thought the same thing, one of those "I'll be repeating that later" lines.
