ah yea ok that does make sense and is a great distinction i do really suck in fully nonhierarchical or unscripted settings bcz all my early life social activity was basically in such settings; church, school, boy scouts, search and rescue friendships never lasted long and parents hardly had any

if i really know the rules i can manage (more than is normal for other autistic people i know tbc) but if there aren’t rules i often honestly go mute unless info dumping is seemingly an option 1:1 i can do tho!!! but even two other people is terrifying unless i deeply know both
