But Oct 7th....surely that justifies the collective punishment being metted out on people who had nothing to do with it and have zero political agency!
All Israel is doing at this point is guaranteeing that the next generations of Palestinians will want the destruction of Israel
The ethnic cleansing and apartheid are the easy part. It's getting the two ethnic/religious groups with a claim on the land and incompatible desires on what to do with said land to coexist that is the complicated part. I don't have a solution once we can stop the violence
The number of 0-follower hasbara accounts in this thread is just astonishing. Don't do talky, do a blocky!
I think a lot about the comment I saw last fall “your feelings may be complicated but the situation is in fact simple”
What’s your take on a realistic pragmatic mid to long term solution that both parties could agree to.
Right, justifying murder because "it's too complex to stop murder" is pretty much the apathetic argument of evil.
I feel like I have this conversation with people all the time and they can’t hold these two ideas in their head at the same time: “an achievable permanent political solution in Palestine is a complicated issue” and “killing civilians is bad and should stop immediately”
I started paying serious attention to Israel-Palestine over 40 years ago and yes, it's always been more or less like that. A bit less blatant back in the day but lines are in the same place they've always been.
