Ifrītah. Two-colour reduction print. Ifrītah (also: afreet, eefrit, afrit or efreet) is a female Iifrīt of Middle Eastern folklore. Like most folkloric creatures, its origin is debated. The meaning of ʿifrīt' in early texts isn't clear: the word could be an epithet, not a class of magical creature.
